'Join this space' link results in blank page

Some of the users of our space (http://www.assembla.com/spaces/tracks-tickets/} have found it impossible to use the join link to join the team, because it results in a blank page. It seems that the problem is specific to Firefox 3.0.5 (possibly just the Linux version). Using another browser (like Konqueror) on the same platform doesn’t result in a blank page when the link is clicked.

We have the space set so that anyone can join.

Hi, thank you for the info. We tested the link in FF 3.0.5 on Windows and it works fine. Please email us a screenshot of the problem on Linux and we will investigate.

It was one of our users, so I’ll see if I can get hold of something. But it was a completely blank page, so it would be a pretty uninteresting screenshot ;-) Thanks for the response.

The user has sent some screenshots, but since it just shows a blank screen, I’m not sure it helps much. Another user subsequently reported that he had it was only once he had selected the ‘Team’ tab that the join link worked.

I see this as well, but using Opera, so FF is not the culprit. Steps to reproduce:

1) Go to https://dumbo.assembla.com/spaces/dumbo/tickets
2) Click “Join this space” at top right part of page. That link’s target is https://dumbo.assembla.com/spaces/spaces/join/d…
3) Get a completely empty page – there’s not a single character in the HTML source AFAIK.

It does seem like there’s a workaround – visit the team space, then click the join button. I think that the problem might be that the URL on the page in 1) is wrong – there’s an extra “spaces” there.

Analyzing this further by trying a project I’m not in.

*) If I visit http://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/tracks-tickets, the Join link links to http://www.assembla.com/spaces/join/tracks-tickets – that one probably works. *) If I from http://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/tracks-tickets click the Tickets tab, I end up on http://www.assembla.com/spaces/tracks-tickets/t… *) The join link on http://www.assembla.com/spaces/tracks-tickets/t… links to http://www.assembla.com/spaces/spaces/join/trac… *) So, in conclusion, the template for the tickets tab somehow ends up emitting an invalid join link.
