Ticket dependencies?

I know the idea is not to setup a whole project with all the complexity it means, but is there any way to set ticket dependencies? I mean, almost all tickets need other tickets to begin, any idea, any suggestion? |

You can use the Associations panel in tickets. You can define any of this relations between two tickets: “Parent, Child, Related, Duplicate”. You can use Child relationship for example, and tell your developers to not work in a ticket if it has children which haven’t been fixed yet |

Setting ticket associations seems pretty unstable. I’d conservatively say that about 50% of the time it causes the browser to time out and not work. I can then reopen the page and have it work…or not. In terms of visualization it would be nice to see a dependency tree/list so that I can look at all of my top level tickets only w/o having the child tickets in them. I’m using this to organize user stories and tasks. |
