New release on July 4

The new release on July 4 contains a number of improvements to the Assembla Tickets tool. The biggest change is in the design. We imrpoved readability and modified the layout to include tabs for easy access to the attachments and edit forms. The release also includes a number of improvements to the reports and other Tickets features. I’m enjoying this upgrade on my projects. We have also changed some of the tabs. “Flow” is now “Messages”. “Alerts” is now “Stream”. We are now officially supporting the Github tool, which reads commit events from Github and makes them available to users of our Ticket and Stream/Alerts tools, and the External SVN tool, which links these tools to your externally hosted Subversion repository. These changes represent the beginning of of a move to support “Best of breed” tools from around the Internet, such as Github. Assembla provides a core foundation of “Team and Stream” – managing the team list and keeping track of what everyone does (the workstream). We will upgrade tools, such as the Tickets tool, to match the best capabilities available, or we will link to popular external systems. |
