This operation is part of our plan to move Assembla services to Amazon EC2. Planned downtime 1-2 hours. During this period it will not be possible:
Thank you for your patience. |

Hi, we’re not able to logon to trac.assembla.com with a failed to connect error Has the move to EC2 completed or should we be a bit more patient!! Thanks |

Maybe it would be better to do these changes on Saturday night or Sunday morning, because us in Europe are affected Monday morning and that is not very easy to deal with. |

Hi, |

Please keep us posted on progress. We also have a big update due and this is interrupting our working day. |

I second that. You really do need to bear in mind any downtime with us folks here in Europe. Particulary when the downtime in the range of 2-4 hours!! Also, an email notification would be great (unless it already exists and I don’t know anything about it). We have multiple commercial spaces and if more than one was down we would have quite a lot of issues to deal with. |

@Diego Moore That’s right, an email notification would be great. |

SVN is currently inaccessible. It’s Monday afternoon in Russia just now, we have a beta release of our product scheduled for today – and bang, SVN goes nuts. Really, sending an e-mail notification about such things would be great. |

I absolutely agree with email notifications on such things. |

How many people who are complaining here actually paid for this service? ... |

So can we get a new process put in place. It appears this was planned, since the message went here on the 10th, but unless you were looking here, you knew nothing about it. An outage of 1-4 hours impacts a lot of users. Assembla is a great tool, but we need to get some email notifications about stuff like this. Vitalie Lazu – Can you help push this type of process forward? |
|
|
Vitalie Lazu, It has been now around 4 hours since assembla is down for SVN access. Please let us know when it will be up and running? |

Still down and it’s 6.36PM Indian time. That’s at least 4 hours now. We were unable to do any release today due to this. |

Yeah, it will be very great to know aproximately, how long it will take… |
|
|
Are there any updates on synchronization progress? |
|
|
Guys, please… provide an update. I’m not able to plan effectively around this. Thanks. |

In response to the “how many of you are paying for this service” question: /me raises a hand!!! We didn’t receive any sort of email notification, nor did we see one on our home page. And now I’m seeing here in the forums that it’s another couple of hours? Not good, Assembla! Very Bush League! I can plan around outages that last for a few hours….when I know about them! |

Services are back, but 8500 from 32000 repositories still need to be copied from old server. If you need your repository ASAP and it is not on the server yet, please post svn uri here: for example /svn/my_repo Do not post complete urls to avoid web crawler bots to try to access private repositories. |

If it’s all going badly, then best you let us know now so we can make plans rather than leaving us waiting in the dark. |
